I had a vibration in my 2004 supercrew when braking. I took it to Joe Cooper Ford in Midwest City, Oklahoma and they replaced the rotors. I only have 3,000 miles on my truck. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone think this will be a continuing problem? I have never had brake problems with any Ford product.

 

04 SUPERCREW 4X4 YES SAME THING WITH IT. AND NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH ANY OTHER FORD TRUCK.WATCH IT WILL BE A RECALL OR JUST A PREFORMANCE UP GRADE TO BEAR BRAKES FOR 04 TRUCKS. I'VE BEEN IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY FOR YEARS AND HAVE SOME PRICE PULLING POWER AT BEAR NOT A LOT ,BUT I'LL TAKE ANY. TO UPGRADE TO BEAR YOU NEED TO RUN 20" WHEELS FROM WHAT I GATHER BECAUSE THEY ALSO RUN LARGER ROTORS.

 

I had my front rotors replaced a couple weeks ago also. Before the replacement, the brakes would shudder when coming to a stop. Since then they seem to be working fine. There is a TSB out about replacing the front rotors on '04 models.

 

i had similar problems with my rotors, and had them inspected, but was told they were fine. unfortunately they werent, and my brakes went out causing me to wreck my truck. Ford has been notified there is a problem with the brakes on the new f150, but it doesnt look like theyre willing to issue a recall until people start dying.
