flat baby moons

Looking for wheels, like this: http://store5.yimg.com/I/kttrading_1790_692001 but instead of a curved surface I want flat.

Help?

That may be a hard find since the baby mons are convex since the spindle dust cover on the older vehicles sticks out past the raised ring around the lug area on the steel wheels so it would clear the hub. Even the full "moon" wheel discs are slightly convex due to this. You could try some of the places that sell wheels for vintage cars and hot rods.

I don't know if you remember or not, but Ford made what they called the "FR100" a few years ago. It was a 53 F100 that they built up and customized. I was impressed with the wheels they put on this truck, and from your description, it sounds like what you're looking for. Here is a link to a picture and story.

Classic Trucks magazine did a story on the build-up of this truck, so it might list the supplier of the wheels. I'm not sure of which issue it was, but I'm sure you could find a copy in back issues. Hopefully this is what you're looking for, and I hope my info helps.
