Picked these wheels up at a estate sale...
Trying to figure out what size they are

in the center its stamped Ford Truck, F65A-1016BA, 16x 7J, 14mm Inset, and E 230

I used the tape measure and it read 17 7/16" diameter and 8 1/4" width

This is whats confussing... are these 16's or 17's by 7 or 8

I think they said they came off a 1997 f-150 but not sure

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it!

 

As it says, they are 16x7 with a 5X135mm bolt pattern. They look exactly like what I had on my 98 F150.
The diameter of a wheel is not the full diameter, but the diameter of where the tire seats, the size of the tire that will fit it. In this case 16".
