ABS Light Help
ABS Light Help
My ABS yellow light is on, so I took a chance on the easy solution and replaced the rear wheel sensor. Result - light is still on. I have tried several times to ground the orange w/black stripe wire located behind the plastic kick panel cover on the passenger side. It is the only orange w/ black wire I see in the multiple junctions behind that panel. Either I have the wrong wire or I am doing something wrong, because I have grounded it to everything from a screwdriver to a bolt threaded thru the sheet metal and I am unable to get the ABS light to give me any "blinking" codes. It comes on and stays on. I do not mind so much driving without ABS - the light is irritating however - Maybe I'll pull the fuse. Any fix ideas??
To find the problem your going to have to have the ABS module scaned to see what trouble codes that are stored & test the affected componant. Pulling the fuse will not turn out the light.

I have a OTC monitor 4000E that I use. It uses software cartridges & smart inserts for scanning various systems. Not all aftermarket scan tools have the capability to scan ABS. SIR, & ICP modules. Ask, if your looking to purchase one, if it can do those functions for you.
