20's and IROKS
20's and IROKS
I'm looking into getting a set of 20's and 33's on my 2004 Screw. However, I'm not an expert on the meanings of the wheel offsets and such. The 20 that I am looking at is a 20x8.5 with a +40 offset. I'm looking at getting the new IROK 33/13.50 (getting leveling kit put on as we speak). First off, will there be any rubbing with this wheel and tire combo? Secondly, how far would the tires stick out?
It all depends if you have a 4x4 or 4x2. 4x4's sit higher and will prob fit 33's, if it's 4x2 you will have to lift it. Mine is a 4x2 and i had to put a 3.5in spindle lift on and do alot of trimming to fit my 20's and 33in nitto terra grapplers. my 33's are 12.5in wide and therefore caused even more trouble to clear the front valence when turning. I'm about to put another 1 1/2 to 2in daystar lift on to help clear on bumps in turns. I also have the old 2001 model, but yours is close to it.

Also be aware when you go to 20's, your larger tire selection drops quite a bit, make sure you find some tires you like before you buy your rims! Best bet get a package.
Might want to post under the 2004-2005 model forums.
