whats up guys my name is Joey and I just purchased a 2004 f-150 super crew....In the little snow storm we just had I decided to go off road I hit something and I bent the subframe and I think a front wheel. The subframe I just bent back but here where I need help....I want a bigger and meaner looking tire. also I wanna switch up the rims......any suggestions? what size is the bggest I can go
Is it a 4x4 or 4x2? If it's a 4x4, you could probably fit a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) on a 17x8 or 17x9 inch wheel with 5 inches of backspacing (or more). I'd suggest going ahead and adding a leveling kit though.
16's will not fit over the brakes of the 04-05 F-150's. A leveling kit is basically a spacer for the front coilover shocks that lift the front 2 or 2.5 inches. You can get Daystar spacers frome 4 Wheel Parts and other places like EBay. The AutoSpring spacers are sold on EBay and several members here are running them.
