35's on 18' factory

Just some good info I got this weekend. I was visiting my in-laws this past weekend and drove by a Ford dealership and noticed an 04 F150 sitting on the lot with some mud tires on it. I was curious and puylled in to look at it. I was shocked to see that it has some BFG MT on it and never believe the size. They were 35x12.50x18. I have been told that 35's will not fir my 04 F150 with out a lift. I looked all undre the truck and noticed nothing except that the front end was level. I figured that it had a leveling kit on since I also had one on mine. I went and and talked to the parts dept. who did the work on the truck and they sure enough told me all the truck had was a Daystar leveling kit and the 35's are on the factory wheels. I told them what I had been told about fitting 35's and they said the same thing. The owner of the lot went to a show and saw something similiar and when he can back swore up and down that they would fit. They even had a bet around the shop that they would not fir. Well guess who won the bet...the owner of the lot. I could not beieve it my self but I say it and know now that they fit. I am no going to go get a set as soon as I can. Once again to let everyone know that 35x12.50x18 BFG MTs will fit an 04 F150 with no lift except fot the leveling kit.

I've been......

I've been sharing this with people on this site for 2-3 months. Here is my 04 with 35" Toyo M/T tires on it. I have the Revtek 2" front leveling kit.

Can you post some more pics of your crew with those 35s? I'd love to see the width from the back...

Do you have any steering issues or rubbing problems at all? What width are the wheels?

Thank you!

Hey Chris,, the truck looks good and I like the 20's. Can you post some pics of the full side of the truck to get an idea of how they look with the leveling kit. And maybe one from the front and the back too would be cool. Thanks

I was talking to my ford dealership today and they said that I would need some cam adjusters along with the lift?? Had anyone used these or do I really need them. I was really wanting to know if the spacers is the only thing that I would need for the front end lift

I know that several 97-03 F-150 4x2 owners had to install camber kits to get their alignment correct with coil spring spacer. I've never heard of anyone having to do this on an 04-05. Maybe he was thinking about the older trucks.

I was only looking at getting 33's for my truck on factory 18-7.5" the dealer told me they did not recommend it (les schwab) for a rim less than 8" and so I started looking at wheels first that would accomodate the larger tires. I was really skeptical and bought the wheels for 900 installed but since I couldn't afford the tires at the same time I had them place the original rugged trails on the rims. Now it looks like a stinker and the wheel sticks out of the side. Not a good look with the OEM tires. I was worried about blowouts or excessive wear on 300 dollar tires. If I used my factory rims but after seeing a few posts with 33's and 35's on Factory wheels, I feel like I got a raw deal. I just had the wheels placed today. The wheels are nice but I think the tire needs to be replaced ASAP. Any ideas?? or am I SOL. Thanks
