Lightbulb Tires

I have a 2001 F-150 Supercrew 4X4. The tires on it right now are 25570r16's. I have a huge gap around the tires, and was wondering if I could upgrade to a 275 or 285 without a body lift. Can anyone help?

Yes, those sizes will fit with room to spare.

I went with 275/70`s and they`re not a problem...... you could even go with 285`s if you wanted. I bought mine at Costco and they won`t put anything on that the manufacturer doesn`t recommend as OEM replacement.Hence the 275/70`s,but I think they look sweet!! Great tire by the way!!

Tommyboy,

I just put 285/70/17 BGF KOs on my 2001 4X4. They fit fine. Upgraded from 265s and the difference in the look and stance of the truck is like night and day.

I went from a 30 inch tire to a 33 and didn't notice a change. If you have a V6 or 4.6 you may notice more of a change.

Mess with the torsion bars and you could fit 305's (33's).
