Pulling ABS codes

Hi.

Has anyone here had AutoZone, etc pull the codes for a 4 wheel ABS system ( ABS light on solid)?

I was wondering who has the proper equipment to do this (not a standard scan tool function), although the ABS module is accessible via the same ODB-II connector - it's on the same bus.

Where I live , everyone wants about $100 just to pull the code, which is all of 5 minutes work.

I'm travelling to the US for the holidays ( where it's warm ;-)) and was hoping to get this done for a more reasonable fee.

I understand places like AutoZone will pull the standard powertrain ABS codes for free if you ask them nicely.. and I'd like to know if they have the stuff to do this for the ABS system...

I tried the standard fix - rear ABS sensor - and of course that was not it.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Autozone's scan tool only reads PCM codes & can't access the ABS module. You need a scan tool & software that has the capability to do this, such as a monitor 4000E, ect.
