Snow chains?

Wasn't entirely sure where to put this, but this seemed like as good a place as any.

I have a 01 Screw 4x4 Lariat, and will be taking it to Winter Park, CO skiing this weekend (I live in Denver). I need to go up/down a pretty major mountain and it looks like they'll be getting a good foot or so of snow this weekend while I'm up there.

Would it be overkill to get chains? I've got BFGoodrich all-terrain TA/KO tires, but I've never driven them in deep (more than 5-6") of snow. I'll also be winding my way up/down a pretty curvy mountain.

Opinions welcome.

IMHO....Since you have a 4X4 and the BFG All Terrains, I don't think you'll need the chains. However, with that said, I would bring them with you....just in case. Let us know how it all turns out!
