how to see remaining pads left ?
hi folks,
can someone point me to a description,
preferably with pix, how to evaluate how much brake pads are left ?
my 2001 has front & rear discs and i hate letting
them go down to metal before i know to get them
fixed.
i got a chilton manual and while it has tons of other maintenance stuff, there is no process to check your pads!

If you remove the wheel you can look through the back of the caliper to see how much pad is left. Check the top and bottom of the visable pad on the hub side also as pads do not wear evenly accross.
