Dealing with Tirerack

I noticed a number of you folks have done buisness with tirerack. My son wrecked his little honda and needs new tires and a wheel. My local dealer wants $20 less than tirerack for just tires, tirerack has same tires, + wheels, mounted and balanced and delivered. Since they are snow tires extra wheels would be nice anyway. Has anyone got anything to say about tirerack (good or bad)?

I have ordered from them several times. Every time has been great, I only have good things to say about the Tire Rack. Good prices, great customer service & fast shipping.

I agree with Wookie and his comments. I`ve bought 3 sets of tires so far from them and just got Brembo front rotors and new pads and they have always been great. 2 times over the phone and 2 times via web order and I had my items within 3 days at the most.
Called in and talked with them about the rotors and they called me back at home with numbers and suggestions for rear ones they didnt stock at the time. To me thats great customer service telling you where you could go and for good prices when they didnt stock what you were looking for.

Thumbs up

Bought a set of Weld EVO wheels with BFG A/T tires that arrived last week in perfect shape no scratches. I would have preferred to buy locally, but it was less with the shipping and a whole lot less attitude. Very pleased, quick service.

I bought a set of Michelin's from them a few years ago. They wer a good deal and service was great.

However, last month I needed new tires for my truck and decided to shop around. Found BFG A/T's at a local wholesale club for $18 less per tire.

I'd say shop around a little, you might get a better deal locally.

I have purchased 3 or 4 sets or tires from them. An example of their great service is when I received my Revos. One had a scrape on the sidewall that I wasn't sure how structural integrity was affected. They sent a repalcement with overnight shipping and picked up the old tire without question.

Great company to deal with!

I've bought shocks, brakes and tires from them. Always been pleased with the service, quick delivery and prices.

The tirerack approved installer I used for my wife's tires did not quite live up to the 4 star customer reviews they got on tire-rack's page, but its pretty hard to fault tire rack for that.

I ordered tires and wheels from Tire Rack and was highly pleased with the entire experience. Unfortunately my wife picked up an unrecognizable piece of iron after 25 miles and the tire was unrepairable. At the time Tire Rack did not offer road hazard coverage. I went to my local tire retailer who indicated they would have sold the same tire to me at Tire Rack's price as well as the road hazard coverage I so sorely needed. Oh well.
