Do I have to change gears?

ok. i want to run 305/70/17's on my truck. i have a 3" body lift on it now. if i do this will i need to change gears to gain back some "get up" or can i accomplish this with a chip. i think my current gears are 3.55

Remind me what size do you have now.

Everyone's perception of the penalty will be different. Wait until you actually get the new tires and live with them for a while before deciding on how much more power or gear you need.

i agree with apt, what and see how bad it is and then decide, i wish i would have instead i just went to 4.88 when i would have rather gone with 4.56 on my setup
