Question tires

i have a 1998 f150 4x2 long bed and i would like to know how big of a tire i could fit on it without rubb on stock 16" rims?

I've seen people fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) on stock 4x2's but it's a very tight fit and the wheelwells look extremely stuffed. If you don't plan on lifting the truck, I'd suggest sticking with a 265/75-16 (32x10.50).

ok if i want to fit a LT305/70/16. how big of lift should get then?

3 inches or more. 3 inches will put you at about the same height as a stock 4x4.
