Question How big of tire

I just purchased an 04 f-150 supercab and I was wondering how big of a tire I can put on it. With stock wheels the 17"s. An also how big could i go if I got the 2" leveling kit for it. thanks for the help.

I'm not sure about stock, but with the 2.5 inch Daystar lift I've seen 4x2's run 285/70-17 (33x11.50) and 4x4's run 315/70-17 (35x12.50).

I have the 285/70R17 BFG AT's on my 2004 4x2 SCab on the stock rim, and they fit just fine. I have had the Daystar 2.5" levelling kit, but they fitted fine stock before I had the Daystar.

They ride fine and they are a great tire, however, I have had an issue keeping the balance weights on, which may or may not be due to the tire/rim combo, I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Here's my post on the weight issue;
