Would 285/70-17 BFG AT look too small/narrow on a 17x10 wheel?

 

Wandell here would know for sure but I think that tire would not be wide enough for that rim...The rim could be damaged if it sticks out pass the tire...say by a curb ?? You may need a 305 r70/17

 

It will work, but it's not the ideal setup. I'm running 285/75-16 BFG AT KO's on 16x10's. I have a little over 30,000 miles on mine without any problems. I would not consider using this combo if you do any off roading in rocky terrian as the sidewall is not well protected. Have you considered a 17x9 inch wheel or going to a slightly wider 33x12.50-17?
