brush guard and lifts

I have a brush guard on my 01 crew. Its a 2WD, is there a way i can get a 3in body or suspension lift on it without having to alter my brush gruard or taking it off?

I want to get larger tires under it, and also have a nice concervative lift on it. I have 16 by 8 now

A suspension lift will have no effect on your brushguard at all. If you install a body lift, and the brushguard mounts to your frame, you will have to modify or fabricate a new mount to raise the brushguard. Some people with body lifts have been able to flip the bushguards mounting plates upside down.

Thanks, I guess i'll be putting a suspension lift on and avoinding the hassle of having to jerry-rig the mounts on my brush guard.

I have also been told a body lift can put alot of wear and tear on your frame and body, is this true?

The only problem I've heard in reference to that is on trucks that did extreme rockcrawling. I'm on my third truck with a body lift and I've never had a problem.
