Rusted/Pitted rotors

My rotors are rusted thanks to Ford's lovely design on these things. Now they have a groove in the back of them about an 1/8th of an inch deep. It's too deep to grind it down to solid metal again. My pads and rotors are good for another 6-10,000 miles says Meineke but the brakes squeak like no other. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this noise without spending $400 for new rotors and ceramic pads?

You have to get them turned, no way around it. You probably cant get them to cut an 1/8 inch of them and still be in specification. It is unsafe to drive a vehicle that has rotors that are too thin. Get new rotors and new brake pads. Dont go to mieneke, they probably use "loaded calipers" that means when they do a brake job instead of replacing the pads they grab a box that has the pads already installed in a rebiult caliper and replace the whole thing. Its just an extra cost. Go somewhere else and save some money by [just having the pads replaced.
