Thumbs up 17x9 or 16x10 with 3" lift

Finally purchased (still have to install) the PA 3" body lift for my 2000 F-150 4x4. Now it's time to make the decision on wheels and tires. I've been asking and reading a lot of threads for quite some time on what size to get. There are so many of you (Kruck, Wandell, Hillbilly, Galaxy, Packjr, etc) that have awesome looking trucks. So I've narrowed it down to a few sizes. I just can't seem to choose a combination. Hopefully some of you can help me again. All pics are welcome.

16x10 wheel with 305/70-16 BFG ATKO
16x10 wheel with 315/75-16 BFG ATKO
17x9 wheel with 315/70-17 BFG ATKO

I'm a little weary of the 35" tire, due to performance and gas mileage loss. Did any of you notice this. I have the 3.73 gears.

Thanks

Greeny

I know what you mean. I'm afraid if I go with a 35 inch tire it will hurt my performance and milage. I have 3.55 gears however. I've talked to a lot of people with 35's, the 5.4 and 3.55's. Some say the performance is okay, others say it isn't. If my truck had 3.73's, I'd probably go for it.

I have a 5.4 with 3.73 gears and 16x10 baha rims and 295x75x16 BFG TA KO's and they really look good. Have had no problems with power or mileage. Get 17 on a good day on the highway.
