getting new 38" any suggestions?
getting new 38" any suggestions?
well my curent 38" super swamper truxus sts are getting worn about 50% and i want to get rid of them and try something else, i have had the super swamper thornburgs and BFG MT, what have you guys liked in the offroad tire catagory?
MT makes a great tire, the Baja Claw, comes in 31" - 46". Quick question for you bigtruck....do you have any CV joint problems with such a big lift or any other front end componets wearing out? Have anymore pics of your rig?
the prob with the toyo and the baja claws is they dont make them wider then 12 1/2 and i want at least a 14 1/2 inch wide tire, here are some pics, oh no problems exept i wore out my idler arm fixing it this weekend that is why i wore one of the tires bad,

hey freak, how do they handle in mud, sand, dirt, pavement? do they have much road wander? do they seem to stay balanced i seem to have a real hard time keeping 38' balanced, hod do they wear, how many miles can you get out of them do you think? thanks for the help in advance
My friend got 40,000 miles out of his. They do not really wander at all,I got mine with the E rating so I can tow my Bronco to show's.As far as mud their pretty good, but you can't beat the bogger for mud or sand. They are steel belted radial's so you don't have to worry about flat spot's.I will be getting the 38 SSR's for my Bronco next.As far as balancing I've had no problem's.

I bought my Parnelli's for about 360 or so... 38s+ tend to go in between the 325 and 400 range... I like the Parnelli's...I've tested them out in the mud and sand so far and haven't had any issues... The lug design helps the tires self clean and also helps keep traction in sand applications w/o sinking.

i wanted to spend under 300$ for some reason i go threw tires real quick, probably because i always run swampers and they use such a soft rubber to make them, the tires you were running did you have any rubbing with those 15 1/2 inch wide tires? mine are only 14 1/2 and i rubed after getting alittle air with the wheels turned
