question about rim balancing

I have a 2002 f 150 with the aluminum rims and it looks like the rims are coroding where the weights are. I really dont like this cause im trying to keep my truck perfect for as long as possible. I take my time waxing and washing etc. Can you use the sticker weights to stop this?

also being that my truck is under 3 years or 36000 miles can i get them to replace them on warantee? I notice it happens to alot of vehicles as they get older. I would think they would have some way to stop it by now.

thanks

Nate

Yes, you can use sticker weights. Most likely, Ford won't happily replace your wheels.

Something like that....Replacing yours would mean everyone with that wheel was a possible loss of a set of wheels. Wear a cup !

I have the weights installed only on the inside of the rims------works great. They have to static balance the wheel and then check the dynamic balance and adj. as necessary

I never really thought about the wheel weight issue until my friend showed me how his were mounted on the inside. I think it would look a whole lot better if it was mounted on the inside.

How durable is it adding weights to the inside of the wheel? Just as good as on the outside? How much more does it cost to do it that way?
