Pro Comp MT or BFG MT
Between the 2, which one performs better on the road? I don't go offroad much (hardly ever), but I want the aggressive look.
305/70-16
Noise?
Handling?
Wet?
Dry?
Treadwear?
Thanks

Not sure about the BFG MTs, but - i have the procomp MT's on mine, they are a little noisy, but handle as good one the road as the BFG AT's that came with it. only have about 10K miles, but no signs of wear on them.
i'm sure you would be happy with either, find the best deal you can and go with that one.

Had the procomps and loved them, wore very little and not as noisey as I thought they would be. I like the full white block lettering and digger lugz of the BFG MT Km's and would like to put them on my new truck but the 4wheelparts 4 for 3 deal with free shipping is unbeatable!

Not sure y u would want 2 spend that kind of money for the look!
Buy hi-mileage hi-way tires and forget about the noise, get a smoother ride.
By your own admission you do not do 'off-roading'... can't figure out y u would need off road tires...hmmmm...kinda like my wife needing 10 purse's...????

Belt Loop,
Like I said in the post, I want the aggressive look. I've read in the past from other member post's, that some BFG MT and Pro Comp MT aren't all that loud. That is all I'm asking.
I want the truck to look like a 4x4 truck and not like all the other trucks with 265/70-17 GY ATS tires out there on the road.
I don't need 10 purses, I just need 4 TIRES.

Greeny,
Why don't you get the BFG and drive around with them for 100 miles. If the extra noise is unbearable, ask them if they will trade them for another tire. You might want to ask them before you buy the tire what they do, but I bet they would do it... at an extra cost to you of course.

From what I've read, the BFG MT KMs are a better tire on and off road than the Pro Comps. It sounds like you would be better off with an all terrian tire. However if you are gonna buy a mud terrian tire, your best bet are the BFG MT KM's or the Goodyear MTR's.

Check out the Nitto Grapplers
You should look at the Nitto Terra Grapplers AT's they have an aggressive look and have good ratings from people here on ride and noise.
I plan on getting them here in the next few months.
Good luck!!

No the H1 or H2 does not come with Nittos on them. The H1 is still using the Goodyear tires that they have always used (though I have heard talk of the military switching them over to Intercos). The H2 has always used BFG AT/KOs and according to their website they are still using BFGs. No truck or SUV manufacturer that I'm aware of is using Nitto tires from the factory, at least not on anything non street related. Also your link doesn't work, it sends you to "http:///"

Powerstroke,
Your right about the tires, I did some research, (I guess I should of done it before posting) the BFG was the tire, I assumed, seeing Nitto's on the Hummer that they were the tire that was used on them at the dealer.
Anyway, I fixed my above link.

I have the Procomp MT's and love them. I got about 37,000 miles on my first set. They would have made it to well over 40,000 miles but they were pretty close to the wear bars and I had to get the truck inspected. Most of my driving is street driving as well (my truck is my daily driver)
They are quieter than the BFG MTs by a lot, they wear better, and they are cheaper. That is enough to keep me a Procomp fan.
I've run the BFG MT's on other trucks and I was always pleased with them but again, the Procomps are better.

WSECTION,
I have 305/70/16's on my 4x4 (supercrew). My wheels are 16x8. I had a little rubbing on the left lower valance (plastic piece) I cranked my torsion bars up 4 turns each and I only get a slight rub when cranking wheels hard right when backing. No rubbing at all going fwd.
I would go for the 305's they will be about 1" wider than the 285's at the same height.
Hope that info helps..
