Question 3" lift. 305/70-16 or 315/70-17? Help

I'm getting a PA 3" body lift for my 2000 4x4 ext. cab. Although there are hundreds of reasons for choosing tire sizes, I've narrowed it down to either 305/70-16 or 315/70-17. Please give me some insight on what would best for everyday driving (majority highway). Also, what tire do you suggest (MT or AT)?

One other thing. Regardless of the tire size I decide to go with, what width of wheel do you suggest? 8" 9" or 10"

I don't want the wheels sticking out extremely far, but definately farther than my stock 265/70-17 GY ATS.

Pictures are worth a 1000 words, so if you got em, please post em.

Pro's and con's of each size will help as well.

Thanks guys.

Greeny............

Personally, I'd suggest going with a 305/70-16 (33x12.50) on a 16x10 inch rim. With 33's you should not have to worry about regearing. I know a lot of people run 35's with stock gears. Some are happy with the performance but a lot are not. Here's a pic of my Screw with a 3 inch body lift and 285/75-16 (33x11.50) BFG AT KO's on 16x10 Eagle Alloy's with 4 1/2 inches of backspacing. Also, if most of your driving is on the highway, I'd suggest a quality all terrian tire like the BFG's, Nitto's, Toyo's or Bridgestones.
