Question Still has vibrations and shaking

Just had the front end looked over, aligned and wheels balanced.

A recent road trip still had a vibration at intermittant speeds similar to a wheel out of balance or a tranny shudder problem that I've had previously.

Assuming that the shop did it's job right (it's a very reputable place), what other sources could these vibrations be coming from?

Could rear differential fluid or transfer case fluid be causing this? U joints or torque converter gone bad.

The shop said that the front end is still tight and needs no new parts. But I still feel a bit of wobble in the steering wheel.

How about uneven tire wear? They look good but I'm not sure that an eyeball inspection can tell for sure.

Sorry so long...but it's driving me nuts.

Any help or suggestions are always greatly appreciated.

Thanks....

Same here. You couldn't give me a set of Goodyears after all the problems I had with vibration with them. A new set of BFG All Terrain TA/KO's fixed the problem!

Goodyears, blaaaaah, I had a 01 ranger that came with the recalled firestones, so they were exchanged for the goodyears and almost immediately, rubbing and noises started within 2000 miles. -Good thing the lease was up soon, cuz the dealer wouldn't do a thing for me. I then had the same model only 17's on my (new-for me) 98 F150 guess what! even more road noise/vibrations. Swapped out the goodyears at a goodyear dealer got em prorated at roughtly 60 bucks a tire and went with the michelins and they are so so so much better and smoother. Too bad they didn't carry the BFG's!!!! No more problems!!!
