Question AR Nitro winter grime---any suggesttions how to clean?

I recently moved out to Illinois from California, so salt and gravel grime is ne to me. It finally got alittle warmer here and I polished my Nitro's with the American Racing polish, but there is still black grime on it. Looks like it is almost inbedded into the rim. I took really good care of my truck over the winter and paid extra attention on my rims so this wouldn't happen. I don't get it? Any tips on cleaning?
Thanks

I have the Atlas and have the same problem. Those polished aluminum wheels are a hassle in the winter. I use Mothers Wheel Polish and works pretty good.

Have u guys ever used Eagle One original never-dull wadding polish. It comes in a little siver can and can get it from wal-mart. Used it on my American Eagle 589 , it really works good at getting all the winter grime off and really polishes them up.

I take off my Centerline's in mid October and put back on the stock wheels. The roadsalt wreaks havoc on polished aluminum. I use Eagle One Billet ALuminum polishing cream. It works perfect. Get some diaper type cloth to remove the cream after you rub it in with a piece of terry cloth.

I get that black crap all over my dual exhaust. I tried mothers and eagle one polish but didn't work. I scrubbed my a$$ off for an hour on one and nothing. The stuff I got in mine looked like little pieces of that stuff they use to patch the road. Since there was no road patching going on since I put me duals on I suspected it was something from winter roads. So the long and short I used ZEP 45 (similar to WD-40) and the stuff just ran right off no scrubbing That stuff work for everything except lossening bolts lol.

Oh and it should help keep the ruct away

If Mother's doesn't work, and you're having trouble finding a good fix, try Wenol. It comes in two formulas...."Blue" and "Red".
I use the Blue (less aggressive) to keep my shiny stuff clear. It is worth the effort to find. A little goes a long way.

JIMMAR: Bancroft, eh? Just up the street from Maynooth and Barry's Bay. Spent LOTS of time in Algonquin on dem ole loggin' roads, In Search Of the Beeg Feesh. LOL!
Beautiful country up your way.

I know how ya feel. I ended up using the Mother's with a small buffing pad that fits on a drill. The mandrel and pad cost about $25, but I was able to get the shine back. Then used the Amer. Racing polish & sealer.
