Stuck Front Rotors
My 2000 F150 Supercab 4x4 needs new front pads. It spent several winters in the North and the rotors are stuck on the hubs. I was planning to have them machined before putting on new pads. I have beat on them with a rubber mallet and sprayed WD40 to no avail. I bought some PB Blaster today and will give it a try. As I understand it the 2 wheel drives have the rotors and hubs as one part, but the 4x4's have separate discs. I also bought a Propane torch but I hate to use it.
Does anyone have any helpful hints??
Thanks!

I think it's too late for the helpful hints.
It has been posted on this site many times, if your rotors are stuck, strike them with a hammer/mallet inward. The vibrations from the impact is what breaks the bond that has formed. Trying to beat the rotors off causes them to get jammed onto the hubs.
You might try gently striking them inward w/ a small sledge hammer (4-5 lbs) and see if that helps. If not, fire up the torch and get some new rotors.

I have been hitting the rotors on the outside surface trying to force that side in to break them loose. It hasn't worked so far. The rotors were not warped and looked fairly smooth (before I started beating on them) so I guess I could just put new pads on them. The truck has 80k miles on it. I replaced the rear rotors at about 40k because they were warped a little. I may have the same problem getting them off this time.
By the way in 80k miles the warped rear rotors is the ONLY problem I have repaired on the truck.
The only other problem has been the Trac Lok rear tends to lock up too soon going around corners. I should have taken it in the dealer before the warranty expired because there is a TSB on this and the fix is to shim the clutch pack a little looser.

I reassembled the brakes with the old pads and I don't get any vibration in the front, so the rotors are still good (not warped). So now, fork it, I will just install new pads. I'll worry about getting the rotors off after 80k more miles.
