Talking Im New! Help Me

I just brought home my 2000 V6 2wd SUPER CAB f150 today. I LOVE it, but was wondering...? It has 265's on it right now, CAN i GO TO 285'S, AND WHAT RIMS LOOK THE BEST. Also, what else should I do to my new truck. BILLET GRILL PERHAPSE? And how much would it cost to get the diff. re-geared?

You really can't get 285's to fit without a lift. You can get 3.5" lift spindles for the front and fit thosew tires though. You get to keep the stock feel of the suspension this way and there is no need for new shocks. Re-gearing is going to cost you at least $400-$500 and if you need new bearings that will cost you about another $150. If you choose to re-gear it with the 33's I would recommend you go with at least 4.10's, anything else would be ponitless. Rims are up to you and your tastes. Go ahead and take a look at mine. Welcome to the board!

That's the first thing i did to my '98

Not too difficult to install. On my '98 i had to "cut out" the old waffle grill part. Just plastic tabs holding it on, so i heated up an old chemistry spatula and melted 'em off.

I went with the Stull Billet Grill, polished front with black power coating in between the ribs. Unfortunately the minnesota saltly roads have taken their toll on the powder coating though. Gonna try and use Aircraft Stripper to remove the powder coating.
