I am going to the 315-70-17 tires on my '01 super crew with a 3" body lift. Can anyone tell me about changes needed to the speddometer or odometer? And is there any wear problem putting these tires on the stock 7.5" wheels? Thanks from a first timer

 

The center portion of the tires may wear a little fast since the stock 7.5 inch rims are slightly narrower than recommended for the 315's. You can correct your speedometer/odometer with one of the aftermarket computer re-programmers like the Superchips or Hypertech products.

 

Can I reduce this wear by lower tire pressure without damage to the tires?

 

That will probably help, just don't go too low.
