Guys with Dueler AT Revo ...

How much did you guys pay?

The Firestone here wanted $811 for four with install !!!!! for 265/75/16

So I went to Sams and got the BFGs for $137 +$9 install + $1 balance each...

I wanted the REVOs first since they are supposed to get really good wet traction, good tread life, and tirerack had them for $20 less than the BFGs...

But Im happy with the BFGs, still need to do some driving with them to know for sure But I think they will work out fine.

Firestone is crazy.

They wanted about 190.00 each installed, and Sears quoted me 160.00 each.

I ended up getting Terra Grapplers from Discount for 124.00 each, because I wanted to get their road hazard coverage instead of trying to find a Sears if I had a problem.

Discount told me that Bridgestone is the only company they cant order direct from, so they would have to go through a middleman, so it would be about 190.00 as well.

The Sears around here dont carry them :\ They carry Bridgestone but not the Revos.

I thought about ordering from tirerack, but the shipping would make any benefit in cost disappear.

$637 total for the BFGs, Im happy with that

I paid $750 for 5 tires mounted and balanced at American Tire. Maybe they are just a local store here in Anchorage, I'm not sure. Had to get the spare changed as well 'cause I went from stock 235-70-16 to 265-75-16.

Im starting to think he may have quoted me on the wrong size??

Mine came with 255/70-16, so the spare isnt too much smaller than the 265s. I thought about having them just take one of the old ones off and put that on the spare but figured it wasnt worth it.

Discount Tire doesnt seem to carry them here. Never saw them on their website either.

I probably could have bought them from tirerack and paid to have them installed, but after shipping and install Id still be paying a bit more than what I paid for the BFGs.

Discount tire do not carry these but they can special order these. Tiretrack is ok but by the time you paid shipping and find some to mount and balance I think you can make a better deal from the discount. The best thing about the discount is that all their tires comes with the pro-rated road hazard.

I can't tell you exactly, but I paid in the neighborhood of $980.00 for 4 255/70 R16 REVO tires AND 4 American racing Outlaw II wheels. Price includes mounted, balanced, crome lugs, wheel locks, and polished stainless center caps. I am not sure, but I think I got a pretty good deal.

So I am guessing the price of the tires alone was probably around $450.00 or so.

Yeah I thought it was a good deal too. I called literally EVERY shop within a 20 mile radius of my home looking for a good deal. Whenever I talked to someone, they usually asked me if I had been shopping around. I would then answer yes and tell them the best deal I had at that time and who it was from. I discovered that some shops have rivalries with other shops and always try to undercut each other. They constantly try to steal business from each other. So they usually were willing to work with me to beat my best deal.

I finally ended up at a Firestone dealer who really bent over backwards to make the sale. My quotes ranged everywhere from $980 - $1345. It took a couple hours of work calling everyone on the phone and taking notes, but it paid off in the long run. He even cut me a deal on a brake job for my wife's Toyota Corolla.

The only thing I regret was I forgot to work in chrome valve stems in the deal. I think they would have looked better than the rubber ones.

Shopping around really works!!!!!!
