Cracks in rear brake shoes

I just recently had my tires rotated and balanced and had the tech remove the rear drums so I could look at the brakes. Well, the shoes had cracks in them. Said it was from dragging brakes. Anyone ever see this before? I guess i'll do a complete overhaul on them, including the wheel cylinders.

I changed the shoes, all the hardware, wheel cylinders, turned the drums, and flushed the whole brake system. Dayum! Feels like a new truck again; well,at least the brakes do!

Cracks in the lining is usually due to excessive heat so probably is from dragging. Glad you got your brakes back!!
