Question "hubcentric rings"

Anyone use these on your aftermarket wheels/rims? If so, how did you determine the correct size and did they make a difference? Curious...

I would speak with your local wheel & tire shop for that info.

Before I had my F150, I had an Acura I modified with larger wheels & tires. The aftermarket wheels I used didn't come with hubcentric rings, so I had Discount Tire order and install them for me, but I didn't notice anything different after they were installed.

Hubcentric rings aren't an option. Either the vehicle manufacturer intended for the wheel to be centered via the lug nuts (older style) or by the hub which tends to be the trend these days. You can could possibly put a hub centric ring on a lug centered hub/wheel, but I don't see any reason. Maybe if the lug holes were worn or slotted it might help... but running hub centric wheel/hubs without the rings is just asking for trouble...

I honestly don't know if these trucks are hubcentric or not, but if they are, any tire shop should be able to tell you what diameter you need for the hub, but the out diameter could differ per wheel...

Contact discounttire.com or tirerack.com for the best advice...

Discount tire sells these online, but two attempts to contact them fell short, as no one replied to my questions.

I have had an inconsistent highway vibration in my truck, and after alignment and rebalancing of the tires, it still has not gone away. So I am suspecting that it is the wheels creating the problem.

We'll see.

OUCH, those look cool...but they may not be worth the money. The rings are less than $20 a set. Also, they do not seem to have those for 18" wheels. THANKS THOUGH!
