Question wheel polish

I just bought new billet rims. The only problem with those is that its hard to keep them clean. I was wondering if you all have tried aftermarket polish and protectant for wheels and which one you thought was the best. Any replys would help out alot!

Wenol is the best I've used. Summit sells it but I don't know how much it is. I've tried all the other brands (Eagle One, Turtle Wax, Blue Max)and they all suck.

I use Heavy Metal Polish, Green Formula. I have tried Mothers aluminum polish and the results were OK at best and a lot of elbow grease. See what the wheel shops carry and experiment.

Mike, I use Mothers' mag wheel polish, it takes a little elbow grease but the results are phenomenal.

I use a product called Flitz. It comes from Germany but is available just about anywhere. It is a paste in a tube and has jeweler's Rouge in it. I have taken a sewn cotton 4" inch diameter buffing pad, attached it to a carriage bolt and with my drill, I can even make 30 year-old magnesium wheels shine like chrome. I would suggest however that after you get them shined up, purchase a product called wheel lacquer . This will permanently sealed the surface of your wheels and you'll never have to polish them again.

My 2¢, Jeff

Cool

You may want to be carefull using something like Wenol or any other product that has jewelers roughe or an abrasive in it. If your wheels are clear coated you want to make sure you polish them with something that is safe for clear coat finishes. Once they are polished, try using a detailing product like armorall spay wax or prolong's waterless wash and shine. Let it dry then wipe with a clean cloth to a shine. It will leave a coating on the rims that are kind of slick and it makes them much easier to clean next time you wash without having to polish. Just reaply it after you wash and clean it. I have even seen people use WD40 to do the same thing and had good results.
