Anyone tried these tires?
Introduction :
I "am" going to be replacing my stock Goodyear AT/S LT265/70R17 tires that are on my 1999 F150 XLT 5.4L ORP with the nice chrome wheels. These tires only have 20,300 miles on them, but frankly I have been scared to much in wet weather. They like to hydroplan... I have had the BFGoodrich All-Terrains before and I loved them, but the price is way out there... Please help me make a decision, Thanks...
Question :
What are your feelings on the following tires? ( Cooper Discover AT($129.72), BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO($157.00), Bridgestone Dueler A/T($104.00), Yokohama Geolandar AT($114.00) )

Get the BFG AT's. Spare no expense, they're good tires and seem to outlast other brands. Had them on my 97 F150, and although they had about 30K on them, I was tempted to switch them for the Goodyears that came with my new 99.

BFG AT - great tires. Mud TA's are pretty good as well. I run those new Wranger ATS tires. Very good on snowy roads. best I've seen. haven't had them in deep mud though.

kmonton99,
I feel confident in saying that the BFG truck tires are probally the most popular tire (M/T's and A/T's) on trucks today. I'm sure I'll get some greif from that bold statement.
Well anyway, I've read some write-ups on the Geolander in 4Wheel & Off-Road magazine. There's even and article in this months issue (Oct). It seems like they're a good tire. There are some pros and cons of course. Check out the article and judge for yourself.
Ps. I do plan on staying w/BFG's, I feel they are 2nd to none.

Thanks for all the great feedback... I HAVE decided to go with the BFG's KO style. Just having a hard time finding them locally. I keep getting the, "Sorry go to an authorized dealer." They state that they can get me the older style, but I want the new style...
I got to save more pennys once I find a place that carries them...

Good Choice!!! I'nm sure you'll be happy w/new BFG's.
Anyway, from what I understand, from shopping around for my A/T's is that the old style of the All Terrains are no longer in production. 4 Wheel parts Wholesalers and Tire Pros both told me the same thing.
Have you tried the national chains? They are usually competitive and are willing to match prices from other distributors. Try www.discounttire.com they sould have a location close to you.
Good luck on the quest.
