hey let us know if you find out how much those wheels are. I called them but the guy that I talked to didn't know anything about them. I would dump my centerlines in heartbeat for a set of those.

The price for the rims are 199.00 each, then each 18" tire range from 149.00 to 200.00 a piece. average 1500.00 for the set. I wanted it so bad but can't afford them yet. Hope this'll help.
PS. will start taking donations for the "steve wants lightning rims project".

Man I checked tire racks price on the lighting tire size 295/45/18 and OH MY GOD are those some bucks! They only showed having that size in BFGoodrich and their price was 291.00 per tire. If they wheels are 199 ea thats not bad at all for an 18"wheel but don't think that I can handle 300.00 a tire. Oh well guess i'll keep dreaming

If anyone is looking for a good set of tires that cheaper than BFgoodrich's look at a set of Firestone's.

I don't think TireRack lists the Goodyear Eagle F1-GS 295/45ZR-18's yet, however, they may be well over $300/ea.

Sweeper2013: In my opinion, it would be best if you follow a slightly modified version of Firestone's old tag line: 'If it has Firestones, park it'

Hello, just wanted to let you all know that there are some substitute sizes that you can order on those tires. One that is really close is a 285/50/18, and they usually run cheaper, you can get Yokohama AVS S/T's for @189 at tire rack. Just thought I might help out some fellow Ford Luva's! I drive an F-150's little brother. (Ranger)

I checked on the price of 99 Lightning wheels at my local Ford dealer ($450 each), the Goodyear F1 P295/45/18 tires are $299 each at Discount Tire Centers. The reason I checked into this is because Ford does not supply or offer wheel locks for the 99 Lightning. Only non-decorative (black) wheel locks used on the Expedition /Navigator are available for the 12mm x 1.75 studs. I got the same results from the dealer and McGard.
Does any one else know if another brand offers a lock with the flange washer attached for this thread size?

This piqued my interest since I have Lightning due in a couple of weeks. I found Mr. Lugnut who has a downloadable catalog on their webpage (http://www.mrlugnut.com). They seem to have many different styles but I don't know what the current lugnuts look like. Let us know if they match.

I also checked with Mr. LugNut. They do not offer a wheellock for the 99 Lightning either.

The catalog I got from my dealer for the SVT Lightning lists "locking lug nuts' clear as day, but there were none on mine when I picked it up last Friday. Even when I pointed out the listing in the catalog, the dealer said they knew nothing. Maybe I should contact SVT as I *DO NOT* want to loose these wheels/tires.

I did contact Ford, and Ford SVT who said they would log my complaint about no wheel locks. However, I didn't realize they were specifically listed in the brochure. Maybe if enough of us call them, they might do something for us. I'v included the #'s for your convenience.

As a side note, I contacted SVT again this morning and pointed out to them that locking lug nuts are listed as standard equipment in both in their brochures, and on the SVT website (http://www2.ford.com/svt/showroom/lightning.asp). They indicated that equipment listed in the brochures are subject to change (That was the answer I expected). I told them more 99 Lightning owners would be contacting them when they find out those beautiful wheels have no theft protection. Help me out guys (and girls if we have any female Lightning drivers). I talked to a guy named David twice now at SVT. Lets make his phone ring!
