pads??????

Did the 02 4x4's come with creamic pads as original equipment?
I have an awfull lot of dust for mine to be creamic so I dont belive they are.

Anyway, to my question......When I look at pads on tirerack.com it says ceramics are required and anything else will make more dust and more noise.

Alot of you say the hawks and the ebc's are good pads but there not ceramic right? Any additional noise? Any side effects?

Im really trying to make a well informed choice here before I install my new Brembos. I dont want them noisy but on the same note they must last.

Oh......what do yall use on the back since there is no listing for the ebc 6000's for the rear?

Thanks alot guys!

I got the Satisfied Pro ceramic pads from Tirerack.com and so far am completely happy. Only about 3000 miles on them though. Not much dust and nice smooth stopping.

I can't answer about the rear pads

I do have the EBC 6000's and the OEM brembo's and there is little to no dust and absolutely no noise

cermaic is not required

pads

pads are ceramic on 97 up f-150. They will still make some dust at various points in thier life. Ive been installing Raybestos Quiet -Stop pads for a couple years now with great success. For a little less money most Auto-Zones are carrying a Morse Ceramic pad also. These dont come with new hardware, so clean yours up well, and be sure to use a silicone based lube between the hardware and the cast iron hub and the hardware. Moisture and rust build up here and make lots of headaches.

Oh yeah, rear pads are semi-metallic, according to raybestos. Dont ask me why...
