does anyone have deuler m/t's? How good are they? they look very agressive but i'm affraid they will be crappy on icey roads.

Hey man! I see where you live. I live in tropical Minnesota. DO NOT get MTs!! Go for the Dueler ATs. You are absolutely correct about performance on ice; the MTs would be abysmal because they have no siping and are just big solid blocks of rubber. I had the ATs on my last truck and they are a fantastic tire in all conditions. Great on ice and better traction in mud and snow than the Goodyear RT/S that came on my new truck. I've heard many guys in MN lament their decision to go with the mud/rock tires because they look cool . . but man, they're a disaster waiting to happen in the winter.

P.S. My son's Ranger has the dreaded Firestone ATs which Ford is going to replace. We are going to replacement them with Bridgestone Dueler ATs. But regardless of which brand you decide to go with, do yourself a favor and stay away from aggressive mud tires without siping. If you lived in the lower half of continental U.S. it might be a different story, but in the snow/ice belt . . .
