Anyone heard anything good about these tires? They get excellent ratings from tireack.

After reading all of the positive post on this forum and seeing the reviews on tirerack.com, I went out and bought a set this morning. I never realized how squirrelly my truck was with the worn RS/T's, until I drove home with the new REVO's.
The weatherman is predicting snow tommorrow so it sounds like I am going to get to try them out in the slippery stuff sooner than I expected. Next Friday I'm heading out to Boise for a few days of bird hunting in SW Idaho and SE Oregon, hopefully the trip will be uneventful, but I'll give a performance review when I get back.

I just stuck a set of 285/75/16 revos on my excursion. The dry handling is about the same as with the firestone steeltex(265/75/16) tires which had only 22K miles on them. The revos are noisier than the firestones, though not by much. Haven't a chance to try in the snow or wet weather. The ride is softer with the revos, but that could be due to the taller sidewall height. They look cool.
We've gotten a few inches of snow since yesterday morning and the REVO's are outstanding.
The streets are either snow-packed or slushy, and I'm able to start and stop without spinning or sliding. The new tires are much quieter than the RS/T's.

Got a set last July, done about 10K on them so far and love them. I took the advice of Tirerack reviews and the raves here and don't have any regrets. Had about a 25 mile ride home yesteday on some rural roads with a sleet/snow mixture and loved the traction.

I have had my Revos for about a month now. THESE ARE OUTSTANDING TIRES!!!! I mostly impressed with wet traction. I have to drop the clutch to get them to spin in wet conditions. With my Firestones, I would get all kinds of squirrelly even on light acceleration. I haven't had much snow driving yet, but I am not worried.

I put a set on in September, and was very impressed! I replaced a set of Goodyear Eagle GT II, and believe it or not, the Revos are quiter! Wet weather traction is outstanding, and while we have not had much snow here, the times we did have not been a problem! GO FOR IT!!!
Im hoping to get a set sometime before spring break.
The tires I have now suck, especially on the wet roads. Extremely light accelleration and it still spins 3/4 times.
Right now I have Pathfinder Radial ATRs on it (came with the truck when I bought it used). Im hoping they die soon...

Winter has finally arrived, and we have over a foot of snow on the ground. I have driven about 4,000 miles on my new REVO's and all I can say is "THEY'RE AWESOME!"
The other night I had to make a quick run into work during a snow storm, the plows had not hit the streets yet and there was at least 4-5 inches of snow on the road. At almost every stop light I encountered another 4X4 (Chevy, Dodge, Ford) wanting to drag race in the snow. Little did they know that I had new tires, limited-slip, Superchip Max Tuner, and about 700 pounds of topper, tools, and dog boxes in the back of my truck. As long as I didn't punch it too hard, I was very hard to beat.

OPIE, Where did you get your REVOS at and if you dont mind, how much coin did you have to shell out? After the winter we have been having here in Iowa, I want to tough it out on the Goodyears and then slap a set of REVOS on this fall. Everyone just raves about these tires.
I bought a set of these about 6 months ago. I had 235/65/16's on my 98 F-150 XL 4X4, and I upgraded my rims and tires at the same time. I went with the "sawblade" style 17” rims and put 265/70/17's on them. All I can say is what an unbelievable difference these tires made in the handling characteristics of my truck!!! I have 136,500k miles on the original suspension, front and rear, and now I’m holding off on getting new shocks because of the difference these tires made!!! This winter in Rhode Island has been moderately snowy, and I can say I haven’t really had to use 4 wheel drive at all. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking for a phenomenal performing AT tire. Just my 2 cents worth, thanks.

part of what makes the Revo's so great is all of the siping on the tire. many AT tires are whoafully absent of siping. they look aggressive, and may be in mud, but for snow and especially ice and rain, you need a heavily siped tire.
