IMO yes a little. My bud has a set of 305/70/16 with a 4.2 V6 and a manaul and he and I both agreed the 4.6 V8 with an auto would be about the same. I am not sure what wheel your truck came stock with but if I can assume your truck came with 255/70's as mine did then all of my info that I am about to give you will be ok. Now to get technical the 305/70 is 32.81 tall, 12.01 wide ans sidewall is about 8.41 tall, your stock 255's are 30.06 tall, 10.04 wide and have a sidewall of 7.03 tall. A difference of 2.75 tall, and 1.97 wide. So as you see not that much difference. If you wanted your power back you could change gears (this is based on that you have the 3.55 gear rear axle). With a 32.8 tire you would need to go to at least 1 3.73, 3.91, or a 3.92 gear. Prices start at about 125 for parts and labor should be around the 200 mark to install. (Note: you may need to change the front gears as well if your is a 4x4 and then you would run into more cost).

Talking

My buddy is running 305/75/R16 tires with a 4/7 liter v8 and he is fine. So I don't think I have anything to worry about unless I move up to 35s.

Steak,
I wouldn't really refer to it as a loss of power. By increasing your tire OD, you change the gear ratio of the truck. You will most likely notice a difference from a stop as the truck will be more sluggish than you are accustomed to.
Just my .02 worth.
