Post What A/Ts are you running?

Hey ladies and gents, sorry for posting i usually try to read other threads, but i could not find it. I am looking for a set of 265/75/16 AT's. I know the BFG A/T is prolly the best tire you can buy, but im not sure if i cant justify spending 160 bucks each on these tires. Are there any other A/Ts that look fairly aggresive and give a great ride? I have seen the Wrangler RT's and they look allright (so does the 98 dollar price tag). Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks guys,
Paco

Go to tirerack.com. They actually have pictures. I went with Bridgestone Dueller A/T's. I just replaced my first set at 58k miles! And they are pretty meaty without tons of noise.

I have been looking at all the AT's too. I don't know if I will splurge and get the best "BFG" or something else. The Dueler is a good tire.

I also have been looking at Cooper ST's, they have a square sholder like the BFG's just not the cost. I have found them at a local tire shop for 118 each for a 265/75/16. Here's the web add. if you wanna look at them
http://www.coopertires.com/tire_cooper/ltsuv.html

I have done lots of research on this subject and have several pics and specs of all kinds of AT's. I even put together a matrix listig some tires, the prices, and where at. Email if you want any of my info.

If you are talking about the Wrangler RT/S's, than look elsewhere. I just replaced those pieces of crap with the BFG AT's. Night and day difference. The RT/S's are downright dangerous on a wet road.

For alternatives to BFG, check out the Cooper Discoverer AT and STT tires (www.coopertires.com). I got some excellent prices from the distributers listed on their website. Bridgestone, Pirelli, and Yokohama also have some goot AT tires that are less than the BFG.

Thumbs up

I just picked up a set of 265/75/16 Michelin LTX/ATs a couple of weeks ago at Sam's Club. They were $146 each before instalation. So far they're great! Softer ride and quieter than I expected. I think they have a C load rating. The max pressure is 50. I'm running 38 front, 35 rear.

I got 62,000 miles on a set of Bridgestone Dueler AT's a few years ago. I've had BGF's on a couple of trucks and was very happy with them. I put Goodyear AT'S on the '99 SuperDuty simply because they were the only manufacturer AT THE TIME making a 305.
I went with the Bridgestone Dueler AT's on the '01 SCrew.

paco,

do you have costco/priceclubs down in texas?

a couple of months ago i purchased michelin ltx m/s 265/70/16 for 132.00 per tire, everything inclusive.

i know the 75's were a little more, but i would definetly check out costco to see what they can get you. they ordered mine for me do to the 'odd' size. i had them in no time and watched them do the install and the guy was a pro.

i would buy from them again in a second.

Whoa, i just realized they had two different sections for tires. I thought they had deleted my post because i said the price of the BFG's. Lol. Oh well. Thanks a lot for the replies. On tirerack.com they have reviews of different tires. And although they don't carry BFG A/Ts, they ranked the Goodyear Wrangler RT/Ss at about the worst tire you can buy. I am thinking that if i go for the BFG A/Ts, 265/285, i will get what i pay for. And apprantely, a lot of people have been telling me this. Not sure why I am gonna lift a 2wd, but at least it'll look good. Thanks guys for all your help. It looks to me like BFG....

I just put BFG All Terrains on my truck a few weeks ago, same exact size as you are thinking about gettin. They look great, have a nice ride, are not too noisy, and have performed pretty damn good off road for me so far.

BTW, why is that on this site there are 2 different categories for wheels and tires? That confuses me sometimes too.
