Computer adjust for taller tires
I want to put 265/75/16 tires on my truck. Does anyone know how much it will cost to have the dealership recal. my computer to make my speedo/odo. correct? I have read most of the older posts, and no I don't want a Superchip!

The dealership will have to calibrate the computer to one of the combinations that was available from the factory.
The closest will probably be 265/70-17's with 3.73's since your tires are the same size (OD) as those.
The hard part is finding a dealer who cares enough to do it for you. The cost shouldn't be more than 1 hour labour (if they know what they are doing they can probably do it in about 10 mins).

Hey MJ, where abouts in ROund Rock do you live? I live in the Oaklands, if you know where that is. Maybe we could hook up sometime and talk about trucks or something. I don't think they will charge you to adjust your comp., it might take a while to get it done though, they are usually pretty slow. Don't go to Draeger, they will never get it done. Go either to Maxwell or Covert.
