Putting 15 inch wheels on 97
When I first had my 3" body lift put on in Sept of 1998, I went with 15x10 Eagle Alloy 1189 wheels with 33x12.50 mud terrains. (I bought 15's because I really didnt know any better, and they were the cheapest...)
They had enough offset (or is it backspacing?) that the wheels fit without interfering with the brake calipers...but since the offset was so great, they stuck out really far....Just for comparison, the 33's on 15" rims would rub my nerf bars on tight turns with a 3" body lift. Just about 2 hours ago, I just got done installing 35" tires on 16" rims with the same lift and there is no rubbing at all...So, as for choices in a 16" wheel, I think that there are plenty, and it will benefit you in the long run, because you will be able to run taller tires with a 16+ wheel as opposed to a 15". Sorry for the long post.

I have 1997 f-150 4x4 i want to to put new wheels on but not alot of choices in 16 inch with the right bolt pattern.I was wondering if anybody has put the 15 inch wheel on and how much grinding did you half to do.Or is their a 15 inch wheel that will fit without grinding.
