I had the 31X10.50R15 Baja MTX's last year on my 1995 4X4 Ranger ExtCab and I thought they were great tires. I had put 25,000 miles on the tires before I traded for my F150 and still had atleast another 15,000 miles of tread left on them. They rode good and had decent traction on snow and mud. I thought the "sidebiters" looked different enough to be cool, although I doubt they helped much. I have 33X12.50R16.5 BFG All-Terrains on my F150 now, and I must admit - I like the BFG's better. Just my .02cents

They make these tires where I work at cooper tire in Findlay, Ohio. They are not designed to be the best wearing tire out there. They were designed for mainly off road action and snow. They are a quality tire. Infact the same tire before it is cured makes the equivalent size tire in the Cooper Discover AT, Disco HT, and several others. The reason that some people dont get as much treadlife out of them is because some the tread guage goes to make those sidebiters. Hope I helped somewhat.

ClarkBar,

You work for Cooper in Findlay? It truely is a small world. I work in Athens at AMM and we make tire molds for you guys and everyone else - As a matter of fact, we just sent a couple of Starfire's up there two days ago! The world truly is a small place. Keep on truckin'
