Talking Tire and rim fitment guide!

Just found this thing in the May issue of Sport Truck..! It measures the backspace, rim size, and tire size. It mounts to the tire, then you bolt it on the truck or car,and you can adjust it to find out what rims to use. The only drawback I can see,is that you need at least one tire(the size you want to run) But if it's the wrong size for what you want, you can always return it(never been mounted)
It can adjust to any rim dia(14 to 20 inches,at least) It saves you from ordering rims that won't fit,,etc... They don't give a price, though ,,,,98

Saw this same thing on a recent episode of "Trucks" on TNN... I believe they were recommending it for tire shops and the cost was "a couple hundred dollars"! NOT for the average guy, I'd say.

<grin> That ain't no measuring device, Screamer....That there's a Tire Stretcher! It allows folks like me to take my 265/60r-16 tires and put 'em on my new 20-inch rims! (You trade off tire size, tho'. After the stretch, I now ride on the equivalent of 205-10R-20's) We gotta Recycle more, folks! Don't throw away them old tars.....Stretch 'em and recycle!

For stretching, $200.00 sounds OK.
