BigBadRedLiftedFordMan: Question
Where did you get your tires and rims? I have been pricing the exact same set rims and all and get a price of around $1700.00, any more issues with your tires rubbing? Also anyone I have been quoted 2200.00 for 3" performance accessories body lift installed and the 315/75/16 tires with american racing atlas 16X10, is this a decent price? Thanks. Jer
Ok, i'm recounting in my head what I've done. My body lift was about $150, labor i paid $250, but i knew the guy pretty well, so he cut me a discount. A local show wanted I think $700 for everything including the kit. The tires i bought off of TireRack.com and with shipping and everything from deleware, they were a little under $700(i think $650). My wheelsI bought at a local shop and paid $130 each, plus mounting and balancing which came out to about $600. So...
Body Lift- $700 (done by a shop)
Tires- $700
Wheels*- $600
TOTAL- $2000 (approx)
*- includes mounting and balancing
As for fitting the tires, i had to trim some of the front valance under the front bumber and trim behind the fenderwheel out of the plastic guards underneath which aren't even visible. I also adjusted the torsion bars, to give a little more clearance but its not neccesary- hope this helps, email me if ya need to know more.
