Is wrong tire size okay?

I have 80,000 miles on my 1997 Supercab F150 with offroad package and running boards. I have had 2 sets of Goodyear Wranglers RT/S and liked them. They were 265/70/17's. Goodyear Wrangler AT/S were on sale, so I tried them. When I got home I noticed they put 275/70/17's on the truck by mistake. Should I leave them on or go back to the dealer and get the old smaller size. Any advantages with this bigger tire? I drive mostly on the road, but a fair amount off road, and we get a fair amount of snow and mud around here in PA. Also, the dealer filled them to 48psi, this seems kind of high to me. Should I let some air out?
Thanks
Dave

The only big concern would be if you didn't have all four tires replaced - that is you now have different size tires on the front vs the rear.

If that is not case though, if all four tires are the same size, then you will be fine. As a matter of fact, I'd say you better off, since you got 275's at the 265 price!

265s are a slightly narrower tire so you would do better in the snow with them. the difference is only about 0.4 inches, so it's not a huge deal. i would stick with what you got assuming all 4 are the same.
