Attention V6 Owners!

Hi. I just sold my Lightning wheels to a guy with a 1999 F-150 ext. cab V6. There were 2 surprises I ran into when I attempted to put them on for him (I had all my tools out anyway). First I realized that his lugs used a 3/4 socket rather than a 13/16 that all V8's use. This of course makes the stud a lot thinner. But the washers for the Lightning wheel were just slightly bigger so I just used his stock ones. Suprise number 2 is that on the rear studs I only got 4 maybe 5 turns on the lug before it touched down. IS THIS OK? I finished them off with a breaker bar to make them tight but wasn't sure if any of you other guys had this problem? Please help. All info is appreciated. Thanks!
