Not the best pics, but gives you an idea. There is a LOT of room left for bigger tires. I leveled the front 1" also.

Matt,
I saw your post and was wondering about your tires. I stopped by Discount tire today and asked about the same tires you have. BFG 285/75/16. They told me it wouldn't work. I have a 4x4 as you can see on my signature. Was your 1 in lift the only way you could do it? How about any rubbing? Seems to me it would work without a lift. Anybody have any thoughts? They want about 156 bucks a tire.

I dont know about the Supercrew, but should be the same as the supercabs. I leveled the truck with the torsion bars. I know Mudder runs 285s with no leveling/lift. They will fit fine on a stock 4x4.

Question

Hey Ford Outfitter-

How are you going to squeeze 16" tires on your 17" rims?

285s on a 'street-only' Supercrew are fine. The Screws are a little heavier and bouncier (really crappy Ford shocks) than those other guys with their off-road packages (not available on the Screw).

Ive got BFG 265s on my Screw, and for muddin' off the beaten path, I believe I could bottom out on 285s.

Cranking up the t-bar 1" would probably solve that though.

Thanks for the info guys. I really don't off road much other than hunting or fishing. How hard is it to lift it 1 inch? I love the 285's and the aggressive look of the BFG TA's. I'd like to hear what Mudder has to say if he runs them without a lift. I love this truck and just want it to look Ford tough. : ) I will change to the 16in rim to make it work though. What do you guys think of a 31/10.5 BFG? Isn't it about the same size that I have now? Thanks fellas!

I put 285's on my 97 s/c 4x4 had no problem with clearance, looking at the room with my new crew I don't think there shouldn't be a problem. what about your warranty, I put on the 97 after my warranty ran out. Does this void your warranty
