Question Shoud I swap wheels???

A friend of mine just bought a 2000 ORP 2 months ago. She has the directional style 17" I have a 99 with the Lariat style chrome steel 17" I do like the looks of the directional on Black. The thing I'm most concerned about is mine rusting at the outer edge where the steel is unprotected. What do you guys think. She has 4000 miles on her truck and I have 20,000. But I have the AT/S tires and hers are the RT/s's. I think mine have deeper tread than hers do. Anyway any comments?

Forgive the post title, sometimes I think faster than I type.

Cool

I HAVE THE DIRECTIONAL STYLE ALUM. 17" FROM A 98 EXPY ON MY 97 F150 4X2. MY TRUCK IS A BLACK FLAIRSIDE AND I PAINTED THE DIRECTIONAL OVALS BLACK (IF YOU LOOK HARD YOU WILL SEE THEY ARE PAINTED SILVER). I GET NOTHING BUT REMARKS AND "WHERE DID YOU GET THEM" FROM ON-LOOKERS.
THEY LOOK NNNNIIIICCCCEEEE.

WLF:
Do you have any photo's of your wheels, that was kind of what I was thinking of doing. Also did you paint over the clear coat or have them stripped and re-cleared after the black was painted?? Thanks.

Exclamation

NO PIC'S YET.
JUST SANDED IN THE AREA OF THE OVALS AND PUT THE BLACK ON AFTER MASKING OFF THE REST OF THE WHEEL. WHEN OFF THE TRUCK AND LYING FLAT, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUNNING THE PAINT. THE REST OF THE WHEEL KEEPS THE CLEARCOAT. I USED PLASTICOAT CAR PAINT FROM WALMART. IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS AND STILL LOOKS REAL NICE.
