Post What's the bolt pattern?

I am building a custom trailer and I cannot get the 8-lug bolt pattern that I would prefer to have like that of my truck. Since I have to go with a 5-lug pattern, I was wondering if someone could please tell me what it is. Thanks.

I don't know if this is what you were wanting, Truckin4, but the bolt pattern for '97+newer F-150's is 5x135mm. Hope that helps if thats what you're needing to know.

Sorry for not making myself more clear. What I meant was that since I cannot get an axle with the 8-lug pattern of my truck, I would like to get an axle made with the 97-up F-150 bolt pattern. I assume the figure you game me is what I needed. I remember the Ch*** S-10 I used to have had a bolt pattern of "5 on 4¾." Is this the same as saying "5x4¾?" Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks for your help.

You'll find a LOT more trailer wheels and axles with either a 5 x 5.5 (pre-97 F-150) or 5 x 4.5 (Ranger) than you ever will for the new 5 x135mm pattern. Also the new wheels are hub-centric, somrthing that the trailer manufacturers are likely not in a hurry to copy.

Thanks for the tip. I will call the trailer place tomorrow and find out if they can do a 5x135. The wheels that will be used are lug centric so the the hub of the axle doesn't matter. I am building a custom trailer out of an 8-foot Superduty bed. The trailer is going to be an exact replica of my bed...same color, same wheels, same tires, same height, same lighting, etc...it will even have the same camper top that I have on my truck. This is a project I have just started working on. To see some of the pics of the work done so far click here: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...2943&a=7301624
