ABS light

00 4wd Expedition, 5.4l, 3.55ls

ABS light came on today while we were out sightseeing on jeep trails. It was bumpy and rocky with a bit of mud mixed in. Used 4hi and 4lo.

Is the rear diff ABS sensor still the primary culpret on 4wd models or should I be looking at something else also? I disconnected the battery and let it sit all night but the light still stays on.

I would start with the sensor. It is only 20 bucks and a 2 min job with a 10mm bolt and 1 connector. I replaced mine but i was not so lucky to fix the light so i am still looking into other things

Good luck
